Having looked at several other Hotels online, we decided on the Savoy for its excellent location close to town. The public areas exceeded expectations, especially the pools and our room was very nice overlooking the ocean and also very quiet (having spent the previous 5 days in the old town listening to howling dogs at night).
What really makes this hotel is the fabulous Savoy team - each member of staff provides excellent customer service, making guests feel special and welcomed. This really makes a Hotel for me - I would go back like a shot. There have been negative comments about the food… we found the breakfast superb which included fresh fruit and an egg/pancake station. We can't comment about the food in the evening as we sampled the local restaurants which are plentiful and many an easy stroll from the hotel. Thank you Royal Savoy, we hope to return sometime
